I’ve been working as a cinematographer for nearly 20 years in documentaries and narrative films and I love using light and shadows to tell stories, strongly influenced by the work of Nestor Almedros in Days of Heaven and José Luis Alcaine in El Sur, along with the work of painters Andrew Wyeth, Vermeer and Rembrandt.

Most recently I’ve wrapped the documentary feature Un hombre libre, produced by Summer Films and directed by Laura Hojman, and I’ve photographed two doc mini-series for Secuoya Studios, Vuelo JK5022 and Reset con Xuan Lan.

My debut feature film, Una vez más, is an indie production shot in 20 days that has received international critical acclaim. In 2021, the Andalusian Association of Writers honored me with the Best Cinematography award for my work on the documentary film Los días azules and I’ve been nominated for Best Cinematography at the Spasmo Fest, Italy (winner) and the Warped Witch Film Festival, Lafayette (Louisiana) for my work on the horror short film Umbra.

I’m based in Madrid and I’ve worked with production companies from London and NY. When not on set, I’m usually watching a movie, reading about cinema or studying to improve this beautiful craft.
